4Subsea Joins OpenEarth™ Community

April 25th 2018 – 4Subsea regards the OpenEarth™ Community as a unique platform for enhanced industry collaboration and has recently joined the community.

OpenEarth™ Community was conceived to deliver innovation to the oil and gas industry at a lower cost and faster pace. It is an open community of scientists, engineers and software developers in oil and gas companies, all working together to speed up and lower the cost of digital innovation for the entire industry. Read more about OpenEarth™ Community

4Subsea’s current applications relate to production risers and subsea wells, and are all cloud born and developed with focus on enabling de-bundling of services and data sharing through open APIs. Our apps consume data from several operator systems, and with this we provide new insight that other operator solutions could benefit from.

“We are happy to have a technology company like 4Subsea join the community. We helped create the OpenEarth community to accelerate the pace of software innovation through greater collaboration and believe 4Subsea’s work in asset integrity is a great example of the type of solutions that can benefit from this industry initiative.”

Nagaraj Srinivasan, Senior Vice President of Landmark and Halliburton Digital Solutions

“Digitalisation in the oil and gas industry, despite being a hyped topic, is still fragmented. To reap the benefits of digitalisation and cloud computing, the industry needs new environments for better collaboration and standardisation to reduce cost and to accelerate innovation. In the short term we view OpenEarth as a way of bringing down integration cost for operators. In a longer perspective we see the community as an environment that will empower engineers to innovate as different data sets from different sources may be combined to create new insight.”

Peter Jenkins, CEO of 4Subsea
