Senior Engineer Sensor and Instrumentation

As we are continuously growing and scaling our business, we need to strengthen the sensor and instrumentation team within motion sensors and data interpretation. We are searching for a senior engineer who can help the team deliver innovative sensor solutions both for topside and subsea to maintain the integrity of offshore assets.

Responsibilities

The position entails but is not limited to: 

  • Sensor monitoring of offshore structures, cables, pipelines and mooring 
    • Develop complete solutions based on fully autonomous retrofittable sensors 
    • Provide insight on our sensor technology
    • Identify relevant applications for subsea monitoring
    • Postprocessing, interpretation and visualisation of sensor data 
  • Tasks related to service deliveries 
    • Project follow-up
    • Interface with the sensor development team 
    • Interface with the data analytics team 
    • Communication directly with clients
    • Work with documentation packages related to product deliveries
    • Post-processing of data and development of datadriven decision support
  • Measurement, understanding and utilising data to develop and enhance client insight

 

Requirements
  • 3-15 years professional experience
  • Experience with sensor applications, technology and physics
  • Experience with communications and protocols used in industrial automation
  • Experience with assessment and analyses of anomalies
  • Good understanding of sensor technology applied for integrity monitoring
  • MSc/BSc degree – preferably within one of these areas: Electronics/Computer Science/Robotics/Mathematics/Cybernetics or similar
  • Programming skills in Python
  • Knowledge of the use of dashboards, MS PowerBI or similar
  • Strong language skills, with proficiency in English and Norwegian
  • Willingness to travel nationally, internationally and offshore

Engineer – SURF

Responsibilities
  • Participate in project work related to reliable and safe operation of flexible- and steel pipes
    • Evaluation of operational data and Integrity Management planning
    • Failure investigation and identification of failure modes, including testing and dissection work on onshore base
    • Offshore inspection and testing of flexibles, test result interpretation and reporting
    • Development and offshore installation of repair solutions for flexibles
  • Analyses related to:
    • Global riser analyses
    • Evaluation and trending of sensor monitoring data
    • Lifetime extension
  • Contribute to the digitalisation of work processes and data evaluation
  • Communicate with customers, define and clarify scope, present results etc.

 

Requirements
  • 0-4 years professional experience
  • BSc or MSc in marine, mechanical engineering or similar
  • Offshore experience
  • Experience from analysis work, preferably using Orcaflex, would be an advantage
  • Willingness to travel nationally, internationally and offshore

Project Manager – Wind Energy

Responsibilities

The position is part of the wind projects team in 4Subsea. As a project manager, you will work with a portfolio of projects and closely with our domain experts within engineering services, concept evaluation and feasibility studies.

  • Manage projects within the wind energy sector
  • Handle project execution and delivery, including:
    • Project financials, progress, quality, and risk evaluation
    • Subcontractor-/vendor follow-up
    • Client communication
    • Change management
  • Motivate and follow up project members
  • Manage customer success and identify upselling opportunities
  • Assist sales team in defining scope of work, schedule and resource estimations on tenders
  • Client up-sale and key-accountant activities
  • Contribute to optimise and digitise project execution processes (LEAN)
  • Assist Team Lead with planning and optimisation of the resource pool.
  • Assist Team Lead in the development of the team competence (training and successor planning)

 

Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Science, Technology, or similar
  • Strong language skills, with proficiency in English and Norwegian
  • More than two years of relevant experience, preferably in:
    • Project management within engineering services
    • PMP/Prince2 certification or other project management training
    • Global or local analysis including pre-and post-processing using OrcaFlex, BFlex or equivalent
    • Digitalisation of processes. Preferably hold certificate within agile methods.

Responsibilities

The position is part of the administration team and reports to the Administration Team lead.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Administration
    • Manage the day to day needs of the office, including preparing for meetings, events and occasions, maintain office supplies and switchboard/telephone
    • Manage various suppliers/deliveries required in the day to day running of the office facilities
    • Handle documentation related to shipping and freight
  • Finance and accounting – assist with various tasks when required
    • Assist in handling/preparing incoming and outgoing invoices
    • Assist with administration and documentation related to ongoing projects, such as Purchase Orders, filing/organising and other documentation
    • Assist in following up registration of hours and overdue payments
  • General

Requirements
  • Strong language skills, with proficiency in English and Norwegian

  • Strong skills within core IT tools such as Microsoft O365, including Excel, Sharepoint, Teams, and a desire and ability to learn other system tools such as Maconomy, Unit4 expense reporting, etc.

Control/SW Engineer

4Subsea Astori has a strong focus on combining our academic skills with operational offshore experience to understand the operations and systems we are involved in. We use advanced technology combined with highly skilled personnel to develop our technical systems and solutions.


We design, manufacture, and deliver subsea and topside equipment related to providing well access, monitoring, and controlling operations offshore. As part of 4Subsea Astori, you will work in a team with challenges associated with controlling and monitoring offshore systems and operations. Our technology is used to improve offshore operations in a growing international market.

 

Responsibilities

Software Engineer within embedded real-time and Information Management Systems

  • Real-Time system (hardware/software)
  • Data Analysis, use of measurement data to improve analysis models within our Information Management System (WIMS)
  • Management and development of HMI using SCADA software or similar software
  • Consulting services within system design, regulations, interfaces etc.

  • A relevant Certificate of apprenticeship/vocational training is considered an advantage
