EVP Strategy and Business Development

4Subsea is a leading provider of technology and services that help operators optimise energy production from subsea oil & gas fields and offshore wind farms. We are now searching for a new leadership team member with responsibility for strategy development, marketing management and continued business growth.


As EVP Strategy and Business Development in 4Subsea you will have a key role in developing the company’s strategy together with the management team. You will manage the Marketing and Sales teams and be responsible for the company’s market positioning. You will initiate new market development and contribute to continuously refining our commercial strategy and sales & marketing approach to ensure financial growth.

Responsibilities
  • Build the 4Subsea brand with strong focus on strategic marketing initiatives, effective positioning, and targeted market communication
  • Contribute to developing a growth strategy focused on both commercial soundness and technological innovation, built on the 4Subsea vision
  • Ensure sustainable pipeline growth by being an enabler for sales efficiency for the product and sales teams
  • Manage the Marketing and Sales teams
  • Be responsible for overall company communication and market positioning
  • Be a key resource for the management group’s M&A initiatives
  • Represent 4Subsea in client meetings and conferences globally
  • Identify and develop new markets and customer needs
  • Contribute to developing our digital and technical solutions, such as 4insight®
  • Be a key part of developing a strong company culture, building on 4Subsea’s values

 

As a member of the leadership team you are expected to be both proactive and strategic to contribute to continued growth, while ensuring a high degree of both employee and customer satisfaction.

 

Requirements
  • Minimum MBA, MSc or similar relevant higher education
  • 10+ years of professional experience
  • Proven track record within business development, sales and/or developing business models and growth strategies
  • Experience and strong results from strategic marketing and communication
  • Leadership and team management experience
  • Background from one or more of the following areas are preferred: technology companies, industry digitalisation, energy or renewables sector
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally

Business Development Manager Digital Services

We are strengthening our sales and business development capacity and are searching for a sales manager who can contribute to further expansion and growth within our digital services.


You will be responsible for market intelligence and sales of our digital services to grow the sales pipeline by building and developing strong customer relations. You will be part of a dynamic sales and marketing team and work closely with our software solution team and product teams.

4insight® is our digital platform used to gather, structure and manage asset integrity data to provide insight and key decision support to operators and energy providers. 4insight® can be used as an asset integrity management solution but also as a platform to structure data for customers own data analytics and insight.

  • Understand customers’ digital pains, needs and requirements
  • Actively identify and develop new leads and opportunities to grow sales pipeline
  • Follow-up of customer during entire sales process from a lead is identified, through proposal, negotiations and closing opportunity
  • Contribute to preparation of proposals including follow-up and negotiations to close contracts
  • Conduct market research to establish and maintain overview of potential clients
  • Keep updated on digital market drivers and market trends
  • Provide customer feedback to 4subsea organization
  • Participate at trade shows and other marketing and sales events

Business Development Manager SURF

We are strengthening our sales and business development capacity and are searching for a sales manager who can contribute to further expansion and growth within the areas of integrity management, monitoring, and advisory services for our SURF business area.


You will be responsible for market intelligence and sales of our SURF products and services to grow the sales pipeline by building and developing strong customer relations. You will be part of a dynamic sales and marketing team and work closely with our SURF customer and product teams.

  • Prepare sales strategy and structured sales plans for SURF products and service in close cooperation with SURF customer and product teams
  • Identify, establish and develop strong customer relations
  • Map customers organisations, stakeholders and decision makers
  • Understand customers’ pains, needs and requirements
  • Actively identify and develop new leads and opportunities to grow sales pipeline
  • Plan, arrange and perform sales meetings to present our SURF products and services and the value propositions to address customers’ needs and requirements
  • Follow-up of customer during entire sales process from a lead is identified, through proposal, negotiations and closing opportunity
  • Use of CRM to manage and follow-up contacts, leads and opportunities
  • Contribute to preparation of proposals including follow-up and negotiations to close contracts
  • Provide customer feedback to customer and product team leads and 4subsea organisation
  • Participate at trade shows and other marketing and sales events

 

Requirements
  • Proven track record within sales and sales pipeline growth as a sales or business development manager in the energy sector
  • Knowledge and skills within prospecting, account management, tendering and value-based sales and pricing
  • Experience and skills with use of CRM tools
  • Market knowledge and existing network within the SURF business area
  • Interest for and understanding of software development, technologies and business models for digitizing oil and gas
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written
  • Willingness to travel – expected meetings nationally and internationally
