Responsibilities in the role:
  • Prepare conceptual sketches and design drawings based on input from relevant interfaces and specifications.
  • Develop project-specific drawings and documents.
  • Collaborate with internal and external project interfaces, including subcontractors and colleagues.
  • Participate in technical aspects of project work, services, and development related to monitoring flexible pipes, cables, dynamic risers, and structures in the oil, gas, drilling, and wind industries.
  • Maintain contact with subcontractors. Coordinate project delivery from client interface, design development, procurement, fabrication, and assembly.
  • Ensure the quality of technical work performed according to project specifications.

 

Qualifications we value:

Senior Engineer – Expert Services Drilling

Responsibilities

As a Principal SURF Engineer, your responsibilities will be to:

  • Manage the development, implementation and assurance of digital solutions involving structural engineering, sensors, monitoring equipment and data analysis related to reliable and safe operation of subsea umbilicals, flexible risers and flowlines, and steel pipes.
  • Work as project manager for integrity assessment and Lifetime extension, interpreting applicable codes, following methodologies for identifying failure modes, and providing recommendations
  • Translate client needs into product requirements for development

  • Communicate with customers in different countries, define and clarify scope, and present results in relation to the work performed.

 

Requirements

To be able to perform your responsibilities, you probably need:

  • 3-10 years of professional experience
  • BSc or MSc in marine, mechanical engineering or similar
  • Previous experience with SURF projects, having contact with O&G companies
  • Experience preferably with Subsea equipment, flexible risers, umbilical’s and/or steel catenary risers, and other subsea production systems
  • Offshore experience
  • Willingness to travel nationally, internationally and offshore

Software Engineer – Control systems

Working with embedded real-time and information management systems like: 

  • Real-time system (hardware/software) 
  • Data analysis, use of measurement data to improve analysis models withing our Well Information Management System (WIMS)

  • Consulting services within system design, regulations, interfaces etc. 

 

Tasks related to product deliveries: 

  • Project follow-up 
  • Work with documentation packages related to product deliveries

  • Travelling to onshore bases and sporadic offshore assignments

 Requirements:
  • Minimum two years of relevant professional experience  
  • BSc/MSc degree – preferably from Automation, Process Automation or Cybernetics

  • A relevant Certificate of apprenticeship/vocational training is considered an advantage.

4Subsea Astori has a strong focus on combining our academic skills with operational experience to understand the operations and systems we are involved in. We use advanced technology, combined with highly skilled personnel developing our technical systems and solutions. 

We design, manufacture and deliver subsea and topside equipment related to provide well access, monitoring and control of operations offshore.
