Equinor’s Snorre B Incident Discussion Topic at FlexShare Meeting in June

Equinor recently lost a water injection riser from the Snorre B platform, as alerted via the NOROG community. Equinor is currently doing a thorough investigation of the incident to understand the root cause of the anomaly.

The incident shows resemblance to another case recently reported to the FlexShare community. Equinor will present status on the undergoing investigation on the next FlexShare seminar on June 11th. More details to follow in next newsletter.

There are 38 flexible water injection risers in FlexShare. You may find where you have water injection risers by using 1) pipe search and 2) filter on water injection (or water alternating gas) design function. Access pipe search in FlexShare here.
